Agnes Juanita Gibson, age 91 of LaFollette was born September 25, 1925.  Surrounded by her family, Agnes went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at her residence.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Agnes loved cooking, canning, gardening, and spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by parents John and Laura (Shoffner) Stanford; husband Everette Gibson; son John Wayne Gibson; daughter Patsy Gibson; grandson Eric Gibson; great-great twin grandsons; brother Kenneth Stanford and Ed Stanford; sister Stella Rogers, Maggie Williamson, Nettie Davis, Imogene Beeler, and Lois Gibson. 

She is survived by children Billy Gibson of LaFollette, Ben Gibson and wife Karen of Knoxville, Jimmy Gibson of LaFollette, Barbara Adkins and husband Billy of LaFollette, Judy Walden and husband Edd of LaFollette, George Gibson of LaFollette, Gail Paul and husband Chet of LaFollette, Regina Boshears and husband Jeff of LaFollette, and Teresa Manis and husband Rick of Knoxville; daughter-in-law Dean Gibson of LaFollette; sister Mary Hembree of Pennsylvania; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

A special thanks to Amanda Garrison and Tiffany York for their support to their grandmother, and being great caregivers.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be 2 PM Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Don Allen officiating.  Interment will follow service to Stokes Cemetery.
