Archie Lee Goodman, age 72 of Clinton, departed this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born November 6, 1945 in Vasper to the late Lawrence and Zora (Daugherty) Goodman. Archie was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting and doing woodwork. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family. Archie was U.S. Army Veteran.

He is preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Shown, Irene Goodman, and Carrie Daugherty.

Archie is survived by wife, Susan Myers Goodman of Clinton; son, Christopher Dale Goodman and wife, Shonda of Caryville; daughters; Kimberly Whedbee and husband Dean of Jacksboro and Karen Chaudhari of Clinton; brothers, Paul Goodman and wife Dena of Jacksboro and Harold Goodman and wife, Mildred of Vasper; sister, Violet Terrell and husband, Bob of Kentucky. Also surviving him is his 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  

Visitation will be 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, November 25, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating.  The interment will follow the funeral at Cumberland View Cemetery with military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
