Jewel Lena Hembree, age 88 of Jacksboro passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Jewel was a very loving mother, and grandmother that enjoyed working in ceramics, sewing, and floral arrangements. 

She is preceded in death by husband Cubert Deiona Hembree; son Donnie Joe Hembree; parents William Harrison and Lula Rebecca (Fraley) Shears; grandchild David Joe Hembree; brothers Virgil, Johnny, and Floyd Shears; sisters Pearl Cushman, and Ruby Hudson.

She is survived by son David R. Hembree of Jacksboro; brothers Bill Shears & wife Pat of California, Charles Shears & wife Margaret of Jacksboro; grandchildren April Harris and Christopher Hembree; 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 7 PM with Rev. Kenny Gillum officiating.  Friends and family will meet 10 AM Friday, January 19, 2018 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 11 AM interment in Oak Grove cemetery.
