Marcella (Boshears) Reed, age 73, passed away at home on Monday, July 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Throughout her brief yet brave battle with lung cancer, she never lost her sense of humor, brilliant smile or loving nature. She loved gameshows, UT Football and spending time with her family.

Marcella was born Nov 16, 1943 to Harold and Helen June (Woods) Boshears. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved sister, Alice (Boshears) Asbury.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, children: Helen (Reed)Tammaro and husband Louie, Margaret (Reed) Daugherty and husband Tim, Marie (Reed) Ayers and husband Codey.

Former husband and father of her children: Gary Reed.

Sisters: Nancy (Boshears) Chadwell, Kathryn (Boshears) Johnson, and Jeanne (Boshears) Hicks.

Grandchildren: Twins - Windy (Brock) Hammitte and Cindy (Brock) Glandon, Christopher Daugherty, Andrew Graves, Reed Daugherty, and Jonathan Ayers.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Margaret and Tim Daugherty for taking excellent care of our family matriarch during her final days, ensuring she was comfortable and enveloped in love throughout her transition from this life to her everlasting home in Heaven.

The family would also like to thank Amedisys Hospice; especially nurse Brenda Howie and hospice aide, Stephen, for their excellent and professional care of both Marcella and her family.
