Rev. Roy L. Moore, age 82 of LaFollette, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 24, 2017 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1935 in Union County to the late Clyde and Virgie (Pyle) Moore. Roy was a member of Coolidge First Baptist Church and had pastored East Side Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed shooting, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife of 36 years, Sue Myers Moore and wife of 24 years, Majorie Jones Moore; and son, Jay Jones.

Roy is survived by sons, Rev. Tim Moore and wife, Kimberly of LaFollette, Phil Moore and wife, Janice of Lithia Springs, Georgia, and Gary Jones and wife, Dee of Dickinson, Texas; daughters, Janice Russell and husband, Ronnie of LaSalle, Michigan, Aileen Goins of LaFollette, Susie Minton of LaFollette, and Carolyn Gillum and husband, Rusty of Jacksboro; grandson, Scott Moore; sister, Doris Wright of Douglasville, Georgia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 27th, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM with Rev. Kenny Gillum officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017 at the funeral home to go in funeral procession to Woodlawn Cemetery for 11:00 AM interment.
