It has been two months since you left this earthly plane to a heavenly abode. You had a light about your eyes and face that saturated our hearts. You radiated peace, love, patience, strength, dignity, fairness, kind thoughts and words. You were the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman. What a prototype to be made after! There are some weighted lessons I remember in your walk and talk growing up, to love all people just as they are, especially the underdog, to give all you have (time, talent, and treasure), and if you have an unkind word keep it to yourself. Growing up I saw you pay for people's clothes, food, rent, groceries, among other things. Also, I saw you use polite behavior and words just like a Victorian lady would use. You promised me that the communication from you here on earth was a white butterfly. I saw one the day we picked out your grave plot. A butterfly landed on my hand in the mountains and would not leave me, no matter how much I waited or walked around. I know that God is allowing His creation to bring me joy through the transformational process of the butterfly, you are in Christ's hand. You are transformed into His image and you hear His angels sing every nanosecond of heavenly time, whatever that is....I grieved during the years you were sick, but when I saw you at such peace and rest. My heart had literally a peace I cannot explain. It is a heavenly peace. I feel you leading me to help dad in the areas he needs help in. I really, really miss your, hi honey on the phone and your smile. I miss everything you are....I pray that it isn't long before we are dancing momma. I love you... Your first born...Amy

It's been almost a month now since you left us & grief is the same today as it was Aug 16th. They say that when you grieve hard, then you loved someone very much. I believe that with all my heart. You are so missed by so many. I see people everyday that knew & respected you. They tell me what a wonderful person you were, but I already knew that. I miss you so much!!

My condolences to the family on the passing of Shirley. When I think of Shirley, I think of class, compassion, fairness, intelligence, humor, and dependability. I worked with Shirley several years ago in the HR field and I have always had, and will continue to have, great memories and respect for her.

Some of my earliest memories as a child include my Aunt Shirley and Uncle Charles. I continued to add pleasant memories as the years went by.

Your wife and mother was one of the hardest working people I have ever known. I had the pleasure of working with her as our HR Manager at Luxottica.
She was so fair and firm to all. She made our job as leaders easy because we were always kept between the ditches by Shirley.
She was a tremendous person who I will miss dearly. My condolences to all of you on the loss of Shirley.
