Betty Sue (Nelson) Parker

Betty Sue Parker, age 82 passed away on Friday March 22, 2024. She was born on February 26, 1942 to the late Charlie Lee and Lillian Randolph Nelson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Parker; sister, Barbara Miller; sister-in-law, Judy Nelson; and nephew, Joey Nelson.

Betty enjoyed being outdoors, quilting, gardening, taking day trips, playing Bunko, playing tennis, and bird watching. She loved her cats, Tiger and Oreo. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Parker of Maryville, Misty Scott of Louisville, and Maria Parker and fiancé Ryan Kirkland of Maryville; brothers, Joe Nelson of Jacksboro, David Nelson and wife Lena of Jacksboro; grandchildren, Robert Brandon Smith and wife Sunshine, Lillian Ruby Scott, Elizabeth Maria Scott, and Olive Kirkland; great grandchild, Lakin Smith; and special nephew, Cash Harmon; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 26, 2024 from 5 PM to 7 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home at 305 E. Beech Street LaFollette. The family will meet on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 10:15 to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for an 11 AM graveside service.
