Ancil Lee Ward, age 74 of Jacksboro passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. He was of the Baptist faith.  Ancil Loved to fish, working, and spending time with his family. 

He is preceded in death by son Onva Ward; parents Jess and Ofa (Risden) Ward; grandson Michael Lee Ward; brothers Robert, J.L., and John Lee Ward; sisters Bernice Harness, Leetta Chick, Birdie Silcox, Imogene Hicks, and Velma Ward

He is survived by sons Zendall Lee Ward & wife Kathy of LaFollette, Kevin Ward of Jacksboro, Marvin Ward of Jacksboro, Jessie Ward of Jacksboro, and Scott Ward & wife Michelle of Caryville; daughter Roseann Ward of LaFollette; companion Patsy York of Jacksboro; Mother of his children Barbara Ward of Caryville; sister Esther Miller of Jacksboro; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2017 in chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 26, 2017 at New Canaan United Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Wilson and Rev. Sampson Ridenour officiating followed by interment in New Canaan Baptist Church cemetery.
