Earl “Eddie” Evans, age 81 of White Oak passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017.  He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.  Eddie was a retired coal miner.

He is preceded in death by parents John and Roxie (King) Evans; grandson Colby Webb; step daughter Mary Womble; sisters Artie, Vada, Katherine, and Georgia; brothers Ancil, Kenneth, and Louis.

He is survived by wife of 56 years Martha Evans of White Oak; son Claborne Earl Evans and wife Karen of White Oak; daughters Jackie Evans of Clairfield, Opal Evans of LaFollette, and Vickie Webb of Jacksboro; step-daughters Allene Gulley of White Oak, and Lorene Osborne of Jellico; sisters Jerri Hess, and June Lynn, both of LaFollette; grandchildren Tiffany Sweat, T.C. Evans, Denise Evans, Brittany Webb, and Myra Crossley; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Charles Goins officiating.  Friends and family will meet 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 11 AM interment in Fincastle Cemetery.
