Marcelene Madison

Marcelene Madison, age 87 of LaFollette, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Monday, March 26, 2018. She was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise church.

She is preceded in death by husband, Jay Wright; mother Ruby Hammonds; father, John Massengill and wife Betty; brothers, Jack, Gary, Jerry, Clarence, and Raymond Massengill.

Marcelene is survived by sons, Johnny Massengill and wife Carolyn of Jacksboro, Roy  “ Eddie” Bailey and wife Janice of Clinton, James Wright and wife Kelli Jo of LaFollette, Gary Wright of Caryville, and Larry Wright and wife Annette of Jacksboro; daughters, Gloria Luther and husband John of Wyoming, Jackie Smith and husband Gary of Clinton, Carolyn Thompson and husband Jim of Louisiana, Sherry Cook of Caryville, and Rhonda Madison of Florida; brothers, James Massengill and wife Louise of LaFollette, Danny Massengill and wife Lynn of Jacksboro; sisters, Cleta Adams of Knoxville, Marie Kitts of Clinton, Shelby “ Jean” Long of Corbin, Ky, Carolyn “Sue” Heatherly and husband Ralph of Jacksboro, and Melinda Nuzum and husband Mark of Jacksboro. She is also survived by grandchildren, Shannon, Lisa, Robert, Brittany, Wesley, Sarah, Bo, Karli, Karmin, Chris, Chris, Damiem, Chloe, Jennifer, Amber, Joseph, and Matthew. She is also survived by great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, and host of other relatives.

The family will receive friends for Marcelene on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 at the Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 8:00 Pm with Rev. James Boo Clay officiating. Family and friends will meet at Martin Wilson Funeral home at 9:00 AM on Thursday 29th, 2018 to lineup and go in Funeral Procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for a 10 AM interment.
