Mary Esta Stooksbury, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 25th 2018. She was born on July 7, 1929. She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother who enjoyed time spent with family and loved ones. She was a member of Bearwallow Missionary Baptist Church and most recently attended Red Ash Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by Husband - Clyde L. Stooksbury, parents - George and Beatrice Ailor Pyle, Brothers - Roy and Claude Pyle, Sisters - Willie Mae Pyle, Margaret Mays, Dorothy Phillips, Pauline Beeler and Katy Childs, Nephews - Frank Wallace, Eddie Pyle, and Brian Phillips, Nieces - Peggy Murphy and Delores (Debbie) Lanham.
Survived by Son and Daughter-in-Law, Robert and Carol Wells Stooksbury of Caryville, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Janet and Kevin Connor of Caryville, Grandsons - Brandon Stooksbury of Caryville, Casey Stooksbury of Corryton and Justin Connor of Morristown, Grandaughter - Stephanie Stooksbury Low and husband Justin of Caryville and three precious Great-Grandchildren - Tucker and Hunter Stooksbury and Lillianna Low, Sister - Nola Wallace of Andersonville and a host of other relatives and friends. Special friends - Carol and Angie Smith and JoAnn Parks.
Visitation will be 6 to 8p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in the chapel of Martin-Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8p.m. with Rev. Mark Braden and Rev. Donald Allen officiating. Friends and family will meet at 8:45a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Martin-Wilson Funeral Home for the 9:30a.m. interment in Harness Cemetery.
