Spencer Douglas Young

Spencer Douglas Young age 81, of LaFollette passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and sitting on the porch.

Spencer is preceded in death by his parents Willard and Blanche (Douglas) Young; brother Jerry Young; and sisters Billie Baird and June Lloyd; his fur baby, Cheyanne.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Young of Lafollette; sons Spencer Lee Young of Hillsboro, Oh, Ron Begley and wife Jennifer of Lafollette; daughters Cathy Boyd and husband Sam of Catlettsburg, KY, Clella Lane and James Adams of Lusby, Maryland; brothers Charlie Young and wife Bonnie of Virginia; sister Helen Mitchell of Virginia; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his other fur baby, Fancy aka “Little Girl” and several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 13, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jimbo Bolton officiating. His internment to follow the funeral services at Oddfellow cemetery.
