Alice Summers

Alice C. Summers, age 89 of Lafollette passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 at the St. Mary's Hospice in Knoxville. She loved to visit, travel and work puzzles. She also loved to embroider and color paper towels.

Preceded in death by Parents: J.C. and Armelda Foust Cooper.

Survived by Son and Daughter in Law: Vernal Harrison and Barbara Summers of Lafollette. Daughters and Sons in Law: Carmelita and Sonny McGhee of West Milton, Ohio. Faye and Glen Ayers and Jeanne Summers and Thomas Chadwell all of Lafollette. Mary Lynn and Ernest Black of Cincinnati, Ohio. Sister: Beatrice Smith of MD. Special granddaughter: Rebecca Lynn Bolton. 12 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Steve Tiller officiating. Interment will be 1 PM Thursday in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday night before funeral service.
