Alma Baird

Alma Baird, age 65 of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2018.  She is of the Baptist faith and a member of Independent Baptist church.  Alma was a very loving mother, grandmother, and friend.  She enjoyed attending church, spending time with her family, and being outside.

She is preceded in death by parents Earl and Flora (Huckaby) Byrd; step-daughter Angie Baird; brother Carl Byrd; sister Maudie Partin.

She is survived by son Chad Meade of LaFollette and step-son Derrick Baird of Norris; daughter Jennifer Meade of LaFollette; sisters Earleen Charles, Polly Stivers, Marilyn Scott, all of Columbus, Ohio, and Joann Givens of Georgia; 11 grandchildren; special niece Tiffany; special cousin and friend Kathy Kitts.

A Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Don Whited officiating.
