Alvy Joe Washburn

Alvy Joe Washburn, age 61 of LaFollette, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Fort Sanders hospital. He was born on March 29, 1963, to the late Norman Washburn and Mary Washburn. Alvy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working with horses and his hands and was very creative with wood and metal.

He is survived by his loving wife Janice (McMinn) Washburn; daughters Jamie Jo Martinez of Findlay Ohio, Crystel Frost and husband Jeff of Findlay, Ohio, Betty Prince and husband Dan of Knoxville, TN, Candice Hethcoat, and Deidre Holloway of Peyton, Colorado, and Jessie Acosta of Peyton, Colorado; sisters Bethany Newell and husband Gene of Florida and Jackie Robinson of Florida; grandchildren Andrew, Bryce, and Carli Martinez, Hailey, Lilley, Maxwell Mull, Kaylynn, Danielle, Dan, Christian Prince, Kaiden, Kiera Hethcoat, and Hailey Bozek; great grandchildren Remington and Esmeray Jones; niece Katherine Robinson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

The family has entrusted the care of Alvy Joe Washburn to Martin Wilson Funeral Home "Where Families Matter Most".
