Angelina Lavay Tidwell

Angelina Lavay Tidwell, age 17 and her newborn son, Atlas Blake Tidwell of LaFollette, departed this life on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 unexpectedly due to an automobile accident. She was a member of Glade Springs Baptist Church where she loved being involved with the youth group. She enjoyed the praise dance team, jump rope team, and ROTC. The accomplishments that she was proud of was graduating high school but more importantly coming to know and growing in the Lord as well as being baptized. Angelina had a great determination to succeed and be a great mother to Atlas. She was sassy and bold with a heart of gold. Angelina was strong willed and passionate with a protective soul. She would stand up for the ones who were smaller and those who needed help. She was very quick witted with a heavy side of sarcasm. Madea would be so proud of her.

She was very loved by all who met her. She had such a love for life and smile that would captivate a room. Angelina had a sense of humor and zest for making every moment memorable. She was intelligent and kind with a good heart. The moments that we had with her although we may feel like they were cut short will always be in our hearts and mind.

She is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gary and Sharon Williams.

Angelina is survived by parents, Angela Williams, John Tidwell, Tara and Joseph Ayers; grandmother, Janet Tincher; grandparents, Joyce and Robert Reese; siblings, John "JT" Tidwell Jr., Adam Tidwell, Sabrina Tidwell, Angel Tidwell, Savannah Tidwell, Johnathan Tidwell, Jocelyn Ayers, Raven Ayers, Eddie Rimi, Frances Snowball, Leigh'ya Snowball and Mariah Snowball; sibling Laycea Ashland Dubouis; aunt Sonya Williams; and uncles Kevin Tincher and Greg Powers. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and her large family in Christ.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at the Glade Springs Baptist Church Family Life Center from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will follow visitation with Rev. Chris Stanley officiating.
