April Granny Woods

April "Granny" Woods, age 92 passed away at LaFollette Medical Center Sunday, July 17, 2016. She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. Granny loved spending time with her friends and family whom she loved very much. She also loved gardening, flowers, singing, cooking, playing the guitar, and telling stories.

She is preceded in death by her husband Warren Woods; parents Fred and Mary Eller (Ward) Blankenship; brothers Billy Blankenship, Ray, and Clyde Stooksbury; sisters Mae Hatmaker, Flossie Phillips, and Ellen Stooksbury.

She is survived by her children Hobert Robbins of Englewood Ohio, James (Marty) Robbins of Milledgeville, Georgia, Emma Sue (John Lee) Letner of LaFollette, Mary Alice Kimbrough of Caryville, Warren Ervin Woods of Alabama, Carolyn Sue (Jerry) Disney of Kettering, Ohio, and Linda Woods (Lon) Morgan of Fairborn, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, July 21, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; service will follow at 8 PM with Rev Johnny Dabney officiating. Friends and family will meet 9:15 AM Friday, July 22, 2016 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for 10 AM interment at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
