Asbel J. R. Adkins, Jr

Asbel Adkins, Jr "J. R" age 58, of LaFollette passed away on Friday August 25, 2023. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church of God.  J. R.. enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing music, he loved his Church very much and especially loved his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents Asbel Adkins, Sr. and Jane Lewis Adkins.

Survived by wife Jamie Adkins of Jacksboro, son Jonathan Bolton of Jacksboro, daughters Megan Swafford and husband Justin of LaFollette, Hannah Adkins of Georgia and Shanna Adkins of Indiana, grandchildren Michael, Gabriel, William, Taylor, Katie, Tessa, Kira and Dillion, sisters Wilma Nelson of LaFollette, Donna Zemlick of Fortville, Indiana, Julie Walden of Jacksboro and Judy Moss of Cheyenne Wyoming.

The family will receive friends on Saturday September 16, 2023 from 5 PM to 6 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 6 PM with Rev. Jared Meredith officiating.

The family has entrusted the care of Asbel Adkins Jr to Martin Wilson Funeral Home "Where Families Matter Most."
