Barney Monroe Ray

Barney Monroe Ray, Jr. age 70 of Lafollette passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the St. Mary's Mercy in Knoxville. He attended Ivy Dell Church of God. Barney was love and laughter. He enjoyed restoring trucks and was a member of LA Cruizers Car Club. He worked at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell Co. for 7 years. Barney loved his family and grandchildren very much.

Preceded in death by Parents: Barney and Laura Ray. Brothers: Charles and Ernest Ray. Sister: Marie Garnner Leinart.

Survived by Wife: Jackie Ray. Son and Daughter in Law: Barney Ray III and Sherry. Daughters: Pamela Ray, Michelle Ray all of Lafollette, and Daughter and Son in Law: Jessica and Jason Lively of Jacksboro. Grandchildren: Shandi Kennedy, Emily Ray, Holly Ray, Sean and Thomas Lively. Mother in Law: Ona Lee Brogan of Lafollette. Brother: Jerry Ray of Jellico. Sisters and Brothers in Law: Alma and Kenneth Woodby of Lafollette, Judy Ayers of Lafollette, Linda and Lynn Gwin of Jacksboro. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Monday, September 27, 2010 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Harry James and Rev. Ray Woods officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Tuesday in Peabody Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Monday night before funeral service.
