Benny James Sharp

Benny James Sharp, age 84 of Caryville passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016.  He was a member of the 13th Street Church of God.  Benny was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War.  He was also a Past Master member of the Masonic Lodge of Jacksboro and a current member of the 322 F&AM.    He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family whom he loved very much.

He is preceded in death by his wife Laura Sharp; parents Earth and Dora Paul Sharp; brothers Donnie, Cecil, and Edward Sharp.

He is survived by son Michael Sharp of Jacksboro; daughter Tonya (Gary) Toler of Lake City;  grandchildren Christopher, Josh, Amanda, Courtney, Maria, and Ben; special nieces Becky and Roxie; several nieces and nephews and a host of other friends and relatives.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday, January 2, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service to follow at 8 PM with Brother Tommy Swafford and Rev. Jared Meredith officiating. Friends and family will meet 10:15 AM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 11 AM interment at Campbell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
