Bessie Pearl Owens

Bessie Pearl Owens, age 86, of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2015 at home. She was a member of White Oak Church. She was a loving wife of 46 years, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking and working in her flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wesley & Martha (Daniels) Prater; husband Eldredge F. Owens; son Terry Owens; brothers Art and Cecil Prater and sisters Nila Fowler, Nelie Goins and Omie Bussell.

She is survived by her sons John Owens of LaFollette and Brian Owens & wife Sherry of LaFollette; daughters Susan Cox & husband Paul of Pioneer, Cynthia Kenney & husband James of LaFollette, Tina Bruce & husband Ron of LaFollette and Mary Shoupes & husband Roger of Ohio and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Delmus Bruce and Rev. Allen Marlow officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Ausmus Cemetery.
