Billy Ray Minton

Billy Ray Minton age 89, of LaFollette, passed away on April 1, 2025, at LaFollette Medical Center. He was born on March 17, 1936, to the late Arthur Minton and Nettie (LeMarr) Minton. Billy enjoyed working on cars, fishing, walking, and hunting dogs.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Minton, J.T. Minton, C.B. Minton, and Junior Minton; and sister Faye Minton Brooks.

Billy is survived by the mother of his children Lavania Murray; son David Minton and wife Becky of LaFollette; daughters Amy Sexton and husband James of LaFollette and Debbie Nolan of Oak Ridge; brother Joe Minton; sister Mildred Minton Williamson; grandchildren Hayley Smith, Austin Phillips, Victoria Ridenour, Whitney Minton, Kimber Minton, and Kayla Castros; great grandchildren  Cora Henderson, Kane Henderson, and Octavia Stagnolia; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Military Honors to follow at 7:00 PM given by The Campbell County Honor Guard with the funeral service to follow, with Rev. Bo Freeman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM to go in funeral procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for an 10:00 AM internment.
