Billy Powell

Billy Powell, age 64, of LaFollette passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013. He was a very loving husband of 49 years, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, & golfing.

He was preceded in death by his father John Powell, daughter Sheila Renee Powell, and grandsons Dominic Morales and Gregory Lawson.

He is survived by his mother Lola Lovings (Powell) Hall, wife Shirley Powell of LaFollette, son Billy John Powell & wife Elizabeth of LaFollette, daughter Tina Grubb & husband Phillip of Rockhold, KY, mother-in-law Catherine Boles, brothers Johnny Powell & wife Charlotte, Kenny Powell & wife Carol, Willie Powell & wife Karen, Carlo Powell & wife Brenda, and Elijah Powell all of Kentucky, sister Maxine Anderson of Kentucky, grandchildren Brandon, Katina, and Shereena Grubb, Robin Lawson, Zachariah Shouse, and Charles and Loralye Powell, great-grandchildren Kanien and Aaliyah Teague and Bryson, Summer, and Evan Grubb, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 16th, 2013 from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev Billy Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow the service at Bakers Forge Cemetery.
