Carl Winston Baird

Carl Winston Baird age 85 of Pioneer departed this life Friday March 25, 2011 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. Carl was a very loving father and Grandfather that enjoyed farming, coal mining, and spending time with his family and friends. Carl served Campbell County as County Commissioner for over 30 years.

Preceded in Death by: Father, D.W. Baird, Mother: Laura Johnson Baird, Wife: Bessie Baird, Brother: William Baird and Sister: Sally Baird Bolton.

Survived By: Son, Steve Baird and Sharon of Jacksboro, Mike Pyles and Wife Kathy of Corbin KY, Daughter: Carla Baird Marcum and Husband Joey of Corbin KY,
Grandchildren: Alex Carl Baird, Joseth Baird Marcum, Jonathan and Matthew Pyles, and special friend Ranson Kiser. A Special Thank You to Lafollette Court Assisted Living Facility, and the staff and Doctors of St. Mary's of Campbell County.

Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Sunday March 27, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev. Mike Franklin and Rev. Bobby Franklin officiating. Interment will be Monday March 28, 2011 in the Baird Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm. Sunday prior to Funeral Service.
