Carl Rains

Carl Rains, age 80 formerly of Lafollette passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI.  He was born September 11, 1928 in Campbell County. He was the son of the late James and Lettie Adkins Rains. On November 17, 1951 he married Lois Y. Wilson in Lafollette, TN. Carl attended the Ypsilanti Freewill Baptist Church and retired from General Motors Hydramatic Plant after 33 years.

Preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Survived by loving wife of 56 years: Lois Rains. Daughters and Sons in Law: Deborah and Dennis LaFever of Canton and Sherry and Sam Moody of TN. Son and Daughter in Law: Anthony Carl and Denise Rains of Milan. Grandchildren: Tim, Jon, Nathan, Melissa, Amanda, Josh and Katelyn. Great Grandchildren: Mason, Morgan, Maddox and Gavin. Sister: Leada Rains of TN. Brother: Gary and Frances Rains of TN. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel. Interment will be 11 AM Friday in Sunrise Cemetery.
