Carl "Tommy" Thomas Swafford

Carl Thomas "Tommy" Swafford, age 63 of Jacksboro went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 16, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 7, 1961. Tommy was a loving husband of 41 years, father and grandfather that enjoyed, going to church, spending time with his family, and turkey hunting.  He was also a member of Ivy Dale Holiness Church, and he was also proud to serve his country in the United States Marines.

He is preceded in death by his father Carl Luther Swafford; brother Johnny Ray Swafford; and sister Lily Swafford.

Tommy is survived by his mother Martha Evelyn Lindsay Swafford; his loving wife Wilma Swafford of Jacksboro; daughters Katie Swafford of Jacksboro and Cassie Johnson and husband Cody of Jacksboro; brother Scott Swafford and wife Tammy of Jacksboro; sisters Donna Thomas and husband Larry of Louisiana and Sandra (Shae) McGill and husband Randy of Jacksboro; granddaughter Haley Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00- 7:00 PM on Monday, May 20, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home (305 East Beech Street, LaFollette). The funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Ivy Dale Holiness Church with Rev. Richard Long and Bro. Monroe Johnson officiating. Interment to follow the funeral service at Indian Creek Cemetery with Military Honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
