Charles Glen Cook. Age 87 of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He attended Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church. Charles enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by 2 infant daughters Melissa Kay and Carolyn Sue; parents Posey Cook, Louise (Kingsley) Smith, and stepfather Alfred Smith; brothers Aubrey Cook, Gordon Smith, and Bobby Cook; sister Mary Lou Wilson.
He is survived by wife Odessia "Pauline" Cook of Jacksboro; sons Ronnie Cook of Jacksboro, Rickey (Angel) Cook of Jacksboro, Jerry Cook of California, Bobby Foust of Jacksboro, and Johnny (Jerri) Foust of Jacksboro; daughters Margaret Lay of Jacksboro, Joann McKamey of Jacksboro, Joyce (Eddie) Goodman of Jacksboro, Joann (Bill) Shown of Jacksboro, Janey (Rudy) Dyer of Jacksboro, Brenda Hope of Jacksboro, Rita (J.W.) Goins of Jacksboro, and Nancy Robinson of Norris; brothers Eugene Smith of Caryville, and Roy Smith of LaFollette; sisters Wanda Farmer of Caryville, Zola Donaldson of Clinton, and Betty Ward of Caryville; 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, October 7, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service will follow at 8 PM with Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Friends and family will meet 11 AM Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Indian Creek Cemetery for the interment.
