Charles Derick Hicks

Charles Derick "Shorty" Hicks, age 35 of LaFollette, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2022, with his family gathered around him.  He was born on March 19, 1987. Charles was a loving husband of 13 years, father, brother, uncle, and friend, that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being outdoors. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his father; Bruce Hicks and Rick; mother, Tracy Hicks and Lonas; loving wife Cynthia Renee (Kennedy) Hicks; son Aiden Hicks; daughter Emma Hicks; nieces and nephew Annie Braden, Lizzie and JJ Carden; sisters Hollie and Katie Hicks, and a large number of other family and friends.

Visitations will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2022 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. BJ Bowman officiating. The family will meet from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday Morning, December 31, 2022 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to follow in funeral procession to Davis Cemetery for a 12:00 PM interment.
