Charles Nelson

Charles Nelson age 62 of Lafollette passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Charles enjoyed life, never met a stranger, loved working, driving, or doing anything with cars. Cars were his passion.

Proceeded in death by Son: Charles Howard Nelson. Mother: Gladys Nelson. Brother: Little Joe. Infant Sister: Trula Nelson.

Survived by Wife: Virginia Nelson. Daughters: Tina Roberts, Denise Smith and Husband: Wayne. Father: Howard Nelson, 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Brothers: Bill Nelson and Wife: Debbie, Wayne Nelson and Wife: Jeannie, Mike Nelson and Wife: Sharon, Fred Nelson, Mark Nelson and Wife: Diane, and Randy Nelson all of Lafollette. Sisters: Glenna Nelson of LaFollette, Mary Cooper and Husband: Gene, Doris French and Husband: JD, Kathy Cooper and Husband: Joe, all of Knoxville. Betty McGhee and Husband: Roger, Maggie Byrge, and Beverly Nelson all of La Follette. Charles is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Saturday, February 27 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. David Goins officiating. Interment will be 1 PM Sunday in Grantsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Saturday night before funeral service.
