Charles Lee Shepherd

Charles Lee "John" Shepherd age 74 of LaFollette passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009 at his home. Mr. Shepherd loved children, listening to the preachers on Sunday morning on the radio, he also enjoyed people coming to visit and fellowship with him and greeting them with a hand shake.

Preceded in death by Parents: Lee and Mildred Newby Shepherd. Brothers: James and Artie Shepherd. Sisters: Ollie Shepherd. Wanda Jean Voyles.

Survived by Sisters: Emma Roberts of LaFollette. Judy Buffmire of Merritt Island, FL.  Sisters and Husbands: Mary and Larry Fisher of Smyrna, GA. Joetta and Garfield Boshears of LaFollette. Alice and B.J. Gardner of Merritt Island, FL. Linda and Kevin Wheeler of Knoxville. Joyce and Robert Scarborough of Cocoa, FL.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Danny Lee Orick officiating. Interment will be 2 PM Sunday, January 25 in Grantsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Saturday night with funeral service to follow in Martin Wilson Chapel.
