Charles Clayton Wood

Charles "Clayton" Wood, age 85, of Jacksboro passed away on Monday, April 14th, 2014. He was a member of Cumberland View Baptist Church. Clayton & John were Farmers of the Year in 1987 and together they owned & operated Wood Brother's Slaughter House. He loved his church, taught Sunday school for 40+ years, and was a deacon since 1976.

He was preceded in death by his parents Everette & Margaret (Shown) Wood, brother James T. Wood, and sisters Alpha Level and Betty Wood Provins.

He is survived by his brother John Wood; nephews John, Joe, & Jimmy; nieces Jean Ann Shott and Teresa Level; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 16th, 2014 at Cumberland View Baptist Church with funeral service to follow with Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating. Interment with be at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 17th, 2014 at Jacksboro Cemetery.
