Charlotte Overbey Owens

Charlotte Overbey Owens age 74, passed away Friday March 1, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Charlotte was a loving wife of 54 years, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and playing the piano and organ at Demory Baptist Church, where she played for 30 plus years and was a lifelong member.

Preceded in death by parents Edgar and Josie Belle Morton Overbey, son Mark Owens, brother Franklin Overbey, and sister Joe Ann Dagley.

Survived by husband Esco L. Owens of Caryville, son Kevin and wife Vickie Owens of Charleston, SC, daughter Karen and husband Paul Norris of Powell, brother Lewis and wife Carol Overbey of Knoxville, sister Connie and husband Harold Tackett of Caryville, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be 8 PM Monday, March 4, 2013 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. J.C. Miller and Rev. Tom Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM before funeral service. Interment will be Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 11 AM in Pond Cemetery.
