Cheryl Ann Burris

Cheryl Ann Burris, age 66 of Jacksboro, departed this life on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Tennova North. She was born on October 9, 1957, to late Thomas James Bruce and Evelyn "Pyles" Bruce. Cheryl loved spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, and she especially loved her dog Izzy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband's Joe Wayne Cotton and. Jimmy Lee Burris; daughter Elizabeth Artz; brother Claude "Peanut" Bruce; and her grandson Mason Artz.

Cheryl is survived by her daughters Michelle Murray and Meribeth Cotton; brothers Eddie Bruce, Johnny Bruce, and Danny Bruce; sister Tommi Witthorn and Glenna Ball; grandchildren Dakota, Lexi, Hannah, and Morgen; great-grandchildren Jojo, Leo, and Ava; special niece Pam Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, 305 E. Beech Street, LaFollette TN, 37766, Friends and family will go in funeral procession following the visitation for a graveside service at Jacksboro Cemetery with Rev. Jonathon Bruce officiating.
