Clara Vivian (Walden) Shelton

Clara Vivian Shelton, age 85 of Caryville went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 2, 2016.  She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother that enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family.  Clara also enjoyed working in her flowers and yard.

She is preceded in death by husband Burton Shelton; sons Chester McCoy and Kevin Shelton; parents Clarence and Lillie (Grenwell) Walden; brother Carl Walden; sister Gladys Waggoner.

She is survived by sons Roland Shelton of Jacksboro, Lendon (Debbie) Shelton of Caryville, Darrell (Shirley) Shelton of Wartburg, Mitchell (Freida) Shelton of Jacksboro, Kyle Asbury which was like a son; sisters Mildred Jordan of Ohio, Thelma Davis of LaFollette, Velma Huckaby of Jacksboro, and Doris Cook of LaFollette; 7 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, November 4, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service at 8 PM with Rev Chris Tackett officiating.  Friends and family will meet 9 AM Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 10 AM interment in Broyles Cemetery of Stinking Creek.
