Clarence Dennis Miller

Clarence Dennis Miller of Lafollette passed away May 1, 2011. He was a WWII Veteran who earned a Bronze star and a Purple Heart. He was the Circuit Court Clerk for over 30 years. He enjoyed history, reading, and politics. He was active in DAU and the American Legion and was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. He was married to Ella Mae Mowell for almost 60 years until they were separated by death.

He was preceded in death by his father Aaron Hobert Miller, mother Mae Roach Miller, and his wife Ella Mae Mowell Miller.

He is survived by his son Gregory K. Miller and wife Pam Miller of Jacksboro, TN, daughter Lora Jean Wilson and husband William Lee Wilson of LaFollette, TN, grandson Keith Miller and wife Lynette Miller of York, PA, great-grandchildren Cora and Erica Miller, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev. Sonny Longmire officiating. Interment will be at follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel.
