Cornelius Elwood Nicely

Cornelius "Elwood" Nicely, age 94 departed this life on September 26, 2025. He was a loving husband of 75 years, father, grandfather, great grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was active with the Masonic Lodge and Shriners for many years.

Elwood is preceded in death by his parents, Cassie and Sarah Sykes Nicely; son, Jeffery Lee Nicely.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Puckett Nicely; son, Daniel Nicely and wife Susan of Missouri; daughter, Margaret Murray and husband Ronnie of Speedwell; grandchildren, Amanda Collette, Tiffany Nicely, Kelyn George, Sean Murray, Matthew Nicely, and Austin Nicely; numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
