Darrell Jerome Brooks

Darrell Jerome Brooks age 50 of Jacksboro, the protector of his loved ones, departed this life on Sunday, January 14, 2024. He was born February 23, 1973 in LaFollette. Darrell was of the Baptist faith and loved being with his family, especially his fiancé and his nieces. He enjoyed four wheeling, fishing, camping, swimming, and going to the ocean. Darrell loved being in the mountains and building fires.

He is preceded in death by his father Carl Brooks; grandparents, Dock and Minnie Sharp, Virgil and Ida Brooks.

Darrell is survived by his mother Eva Sharp Ayers; sister, Amanda Hatfield and husband, Otis; nieces, Brooklyn and Jersey Hatfield; fiancé, Lisa Bailey and host of other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Powell Valley Cemetery.
