David Allen "Al" Goins

David Allen “Al” Goins, age 71, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working in his garden and collecting antique tractors.

Al is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Effie Willoughby Goins; and brother, Eugene Goins.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Orick Goins, son, Kenny Humphrey and wife, Casey Bass of Coalfield; grandchildren, Victoria Cox and husband Robert, Kenny Trace, Elijah and Olivia Humphrey; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Amelia Cox; bonus children, William and Shyann Goins; bonus grandchildren, Kaisha and Gabriel Gibson, Natilynn and Benjamin Goins; sisters, Gladys Jones, and Wilma Hatfield and husband Emol; special niece, Jenifer Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday October 16, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. William Goins officiating. The family will meet at Bakers Forge Cemetery at 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2026, for interment.
