David Douglas Rutherford

David Douglas Rutherford age 68 of LaFollette, departed this life on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at U.T. Medical Center. He was born on August 8, 1956, to the late Toney Rutherford and Louise Muse Rutherford. David was a loving husband of 21 years, father, and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved to fish, camp, and anything to do with the outdoors, he was also a prankster that enjoyed making someone laugh.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Timothy Wayne Rutherford.

David is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Michelle Allen Rutherford; son Shane Rutherford and wife Kathleen; daughters Brandy Rutherford and fiancé Jerry and Michele Hembree and husband Micheal; brother James Rutherford and wife Vicki; grandchildren Ruby, Wyatt, Seth, Harley, Zada, Zoey, Hunter, and Kenton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in Funeral procession to Peabody Cemetery for a 12:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Bo Freeman officiating.
