David Summers, age 62 of Knoxville passed away suddenly Saturday, February 21, 2009 at his daughter's home. He was an army veteran and retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 28 years of service.
Preceded in death by Parents: Dudley and Mary Summers.
Survived by Wife: Sue Summers. Daughters and Sons in Law: Linda and Larry Jean, Kathy Patrick - Yarnell and Brian Yarnell and Karen and Brian Clinard all of Knoxville. Grandchildren: Steven Jean, Jon Keith Clinard, Mikayla Clinard, Thomas Jean and Jason Patrick all of Knoxville. Brothers and Sisters in Law: Millard and Janet Summers of Knoxville, TN. James and Sheila Summers of Lafollette, TN. Beloved extended family, adopted daughter, Kathy and Greer Evans and their children, Eric and Kelley Evans. Special Friends: Corky Paul and David Ridenour. Several nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brian Clinard, Larry Jean, Bobby Norman, Donald Ray Tackett, Don Tackett Jr. and Brian Yarnell.
Graveside Service will be 1 PM Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in Bakers Forge Cemetery with Rev. Steve Tiller officiating. Full Military Service will be conducted by the Campbell Co. Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 12 PM Wednesday in Martin Wilson Chapel.
