Delmer Lindsay, age 64 of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. Delmer was a member and deacon of Indian Creek Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing, landscaping and mowing. He also loved his family very much.
Preceded in death by Son: Timothy Lindsay. Parents: William Hubert and Ethel Mae Sharp Lindsay.
Survived by Wife: Betty McCormick Lindsay of Jacksboro. Daughter and Son in Law: Kristie and Ronald Ridenour of Jacksboro. Loving grandchildren whom he thought of and loved very much: Corey Lindsay and Charity Grace Ridenour. Brother: T. H. Lindsay and Charles Lindsay both of Norwood, Ohio. Sister: Wanda Faye Phillips of Jacksboro. Mother in Law: Selah McCormick of Caryville. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be 8 PM Friday, July 16, 2010 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Bill Wilson, Rev. Virgil Farmer and Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating. Interment will be 2 PM Saturday in Indian Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday night before funeral service.
