Delphia Mae Nelson

Delphia Mae Nelson age 83 of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Campbell Co. She was a member of Little Cove Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Nelson had a big doll collection. She loved her family very much especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to play the piano.

Preceded in death by Son: Ronnie Nelson. Daughter: Linda Mae Nelson. Parents: Sampson and Katie Robbins Lawson. Brothers: Letcher and Luther Lawson.

Survived by Husband: Wheeler Nelson of Jacksboro. Sons and Daughters in Law: Lynn and Doris Nelson of LaFollette. Gary and Hazel Nelson of Colombia, TN. Sammy and Helen Nelson of LaFollette. Daughter and Son in Law: Kathy and Larry Murphy of Royal Oak, MI. 17 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Brothers; Presley Lawson of Warren, MI. Lonnie Lawson of LaFollette. Sister: Geraldine Nelson of LaFollette. Several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 PM Saturday, August 30 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Friday night in Martin Wilson Chapel.
