Doris Regina Queener

Doris Queener, age 86, of Jacksboro, TN passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Cumberland Village Nursing Home. She enjoyed raising flowers, was a wonderful cook, and was a very loving mother who always had a smile for you. She belonged to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Georgia but attended Mt. Zion Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Monroe Queener, parents Wilbure and Bessie Harkins, brother Dale Harkins, and son-in-law Steve McGhee.

She is survived by her son Jim Queener and wife Carolyn of Jacksboro, daughter Gail McGhee of Jacksboro, son Dan Queener and wife Sharon of Jacksboro, daughter Lea Ann Loomis and husband Mitchell of Jacksboro, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Barbara Boshears and husband Wade, and niece Sharon Murphy.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Jim Mullins officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the Jacksboro Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
