Dorothy Jeanette Sharp

Dorothy S. Sharp, age 77 of Pinecrest community passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of First Christian Church of Miami, FL. Dorothy was a loving wife of 49 years, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed birdwatching, flower gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her Husband: Donny R. Sharp. Parents: Lawerence and Dora Smith, Brothers: Larry and George Smith of Maryland.

Dorothy is survived by Son: Donny Sharp Jr. of Oak Ridge, Daughters: Sylvia Norman of Pinecrest and Evelyn Sharp of Olney, Maryland. Grandson: Robert and Wife: Susan Norman of Norma, Granddaughter: Karyn and husband: Tony Rucker of Pinecrest. Great Grandchildren: Andrew and Hannah Norman of Norma, Alyssa, Kristin and Gavin Rucker of Pinecrest. Brother: Harry Smith of LaPlata, MD. Sister: Helen Maxwell of Wheatland, CA. Several Nieces, Nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 PM Monday, April 6 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Virgil Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 Monday before funeral service.
