Dorothy Smith

Dorothy Smith, age 84 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 2, 2016. She was a loving wife of sixty-two years, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Dorothy enjoyed going to church, spending time with her family, gardening, and taking care of Spot and Pepper.

She is preceded in death by parents Floyd and Martha (Miller) Ford; brothers Ray and Jennings Ford; sisters Edna Petree.

She is survived by husband Cleadis Smith of LaFollette; son David Smith of LaFollette; daughters Dorothy (Gary) McNeely, Brenda (Arthur) Boshears, and Patricia (Jerry) Voyles, all of LaFollette; sisters Grace (Buddy) White of LaFollette, Margaret Gibson of LaFollette, Marie Rameriz of California, and Katherine (Jim) Hamrick or Arkansas; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; funeral service to follow at 8 PM with Rev. Johnny Dabney officiating. Friends and family will meet at 10 AM Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 11 AM interment in Smith Cemetery.
