Dorothy Underwood

Dorothy Underwood, age 75 of Lafollette passed away Friday, July 10, 2009 at her sister Dixie and brother in law Lowell's home. She attended Glade Springs Baptist Church. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed reading, working in the garden and loved going to church.

Preceded in death Husband: Nathaniel Underwood. Son: Mark Underwood. Granddaughter: Courtney Underwood. Parents: Jess and Effie Parker. Daughter in Law: Tammy Underwood. Sister: Shirley Jackson.

Survived by Son and Daughter in Law: Benny and Kimberly Bailey. Daughter and Son in Law: Pamela and Bill Van Dyck. Grandchildren: Nathan and Dylan Bailey, Charles Shoemaker, Brett and Allison Underwood. Riley and Rhiannon Mundt, Austin, Dominic and Christian Spearson, Terry Lowell, Rachel, David, Adam and Aaron Lemarr. Great Grandchildren: Eitheen, Josh and Elizabeth Lemarr. Brother and Sister in Law: Mack and Marie Parker of Lafollette. Sister and Brother in Law: Dixie and Lowell Lemarr of Lafollette. 2nd mother to Terry, Donna and LeeAnna Lemarr. Nieces: Tammy Parker and Jane Roat. Many more nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Sunday, July 12, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Hobert McCreary and Rev. Chris Stanley officiating. Interment will be 10 AM Monday in Well Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday night before funeral service.
