Earl Hensley

Knoxville (Formerly of Speedwell)

Earl Hensley age 85 of Knoxville, formerly of Speedwell, passed away on March 9, 2025, at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was born August 22, 1939, in Fork Ridge to the late Robert Jarvis Hensley and Lillie Mae (Marsee) Hensley. Earl loved picking the guitar, talking and hunting ginseng. He was a U.S. Army veteran.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his brothers Ben Hensley, Connie Jay Hensley and Robert Lynn Hensley.


Earl is survived by his brothers Clyde J. Hensley of Georgia and Dean Hensley of Speedwell; special nephews Joseph Hensley and wife Samantha, Randy Hensley, Robert Hensley, Mike Hensley and Jerry Hensley; special niece Lisa McKinney; very special sister-in-law Robin Farmer Hensley and a host of other relatives and friends.


Visitation will be on Thursday March 13th, 2025, at Speedwell Church of God from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM with  Rev. Daniel Ellison, Rev. Elijah Ellison and Rev. Tyler Pierce officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 PM on Friday March 14th, 2025, at the Hensley Family Cemetery in Speedwell for the burial.


The family has entrusted the care of Earl Hensley to Martin Wilson Funeral Home "Where Families Matter Most".
