Edith Green

Edith Green, age 77 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband of 52 years Thursday, July 6, 2017.  She was of the Baptist faith and attended Mt Pisgah church.  Edith was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family.  She loved to cook, and work in her garden and flowers.

She is preceded in death by husband M.F. Green; daughter Angela Green; parents Theodore and Carrie (Snodderly) Wilson; brothers Ronnie and Kenny Wilson; son-in-law Jim Leavitt; 2 grandchildren Cassey and Chrissy.

She is survived by son Steve Green and wife Sheila of LaFollette; daughters Rebecca Payne and husband Marvin of Jacksboro, Juanita Evans and husband David of Jacksboro, Elena Leavitt of Jacksboro, Lisa King and husband Frankie of Habersham, Cloteen Ward and husband Cecil of LaFollette, Joyce Jones and husband Rick of Jacksboro; sister Lola Huvner and husband Robert of Florida; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; a host of other friends, and relatives.

Visitation for Edith will be 5 PM – 7:45 PM Friday, July 7, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home; Eastern Star service at 7:45 PM followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Jimmy Orick, Rev. Dennis Pitman, and Rev. David Hicks officiating.  Friends and family will meet 10:15 AM Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the 11 AM interment in Powell Valley Cemetery.
