Edna Ruth Wilson

Edna Ruth Wilson age 74 of Jacksboro passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She was born on June 11, 1937. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower garden, chasing her grandchildren, singing, and watching birds. She loved her family and her dogs very much.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Walter Gunter and Johnny Mae Harriman and husband Wilborne "Cotton" Wilson.

She is survived by her sons J.R. Wilson and wife Debbie Nelson of LaFollette and Howard Wilson and wife Gaye of Jacksboro, daughters Pam Wilson and Buster Wilburn of Jacksboro and Jenny Madison and husband Dewey of Caryville, brother Robert Gunter and wife Kristie of Ohio, sister Dorothy Haddix of Ohio, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Friday July 29, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev. Kenny Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 30, 2011 at Powell Valley Cemetery.
