Effie Johnson

Effie Newby Johnson, age 89 of Lafollette passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. She was of the Apostolic faith.

Preceded in death by Parents: Jim and Mary Alice Smith Newby.

Survived by Sons and Daughters in Law: James Elmer and Johnna Trammell of Fayetteville, NC. Lonnie and Lissie Johnson of Lafollette and Randall and Joyce Johnson of Bristol, TN. Daughters: Donna Gibson of Salisbury, NC. Shelia Johnson of Lafollette. Daughter and Son in Law: Delores and Jackie Clements of Erin, TN. Sister: Mary Jane Brandenburg of Shackelfords, VA. 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Monday, July 6, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Jeffery Moses officiating. Interment will be 10 AM Tuesday in Peabody Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday night before funeral service.
